Self-Forgiveness Sample Template

Circumstance to forgive

(Step 1)

All the years that I have spent participating in the Time4Money Exchange has left me feeling hopeless, bored and powerless.
Forgiveness Statement (Step 2)I forgive myself for entering into and staying in a Time4Money Exchange that did not serve me. Although I was not aware I was doing it at the time, I acknowledge that this has caused me pain.
Forgiveness Statement (Step 2)I forgive myself for believing I am powerless in this situation.
Forgiveness Statement (Step 2)I forgive myself for believing my situation was hopeless.
Forgiveness Statement (Step 2)I forgive myself for not knowing how to change my circumstances.
Forgiveness Statement (step 2)I forgive myself for not acknowledging this sooner. I forgive myself for not being aware of what was causing me pain.
Gratitude Statement (Step 3)Now, in this moment, I am grateful that I have this opportunity to forgive myself. I open myself to the truth that I am powerful. I have the power to change any circumstance in my life to my benefit. I am grateful for this experience, for it has made me realize the truth about my current situation. I am grateful that it has shown me a reason for my pain. I know my feelings of powerlessness and hopelessness can be changed. In this moment, with this gratitude, I forgive myself.

I am grateful because I now can take the time to develop a deep “knowingness” of what I bring to the table, to honestly see my own worth and claim it. I am grateful for this experience and in this feeling of gratitude, I forgive myself.

Forgiveness StatementI forgive myself for any resistance or doubt I demonstrated about my dreams for my professional life that may have had the consequence of holding me back.
Gratitude StatementIn the peace of gratitude, I acknowledge that I am worthy and deserving of having my desires. I know I have the power to define a vision for my professional life. I have the power to take action on this vision. I am grateful for this experience because it has shown me not only the need to declare my vision but also that I have what it takes inside to achieve it. It is in this feeling of gratitude that I forgive myself.

I know right here and now that I no longer have to be in servitude to boredom. I am grateful that I now have the awareness of my right to have fulfilling work. It is in this feeling of gratitude that I completely and wholly forgive myself.

Gratitude StatementI am so grateful and thankful that I am now aware that I have not experienced authentic expression. I am thankful that I have seen this truth. I do have something so special within me to give. I am grateful that I now know that I have the power to change my circumstances. I can give myself the space to fully express my gifts and talents. I can give myself the time I need to identify my unique expression and the gifts and talents I bring to the table. I deserve to find work situations in which I can express these gifts. It is in this place of gratitude that I forgive myself.
